Nature lovers have National Geographic, fashion lovers have Vogue, even portapotty lovers have PRO magazine (this stands for Portable Restroom Operators and I was just as shocked as you are that it existed). But where is the magazine for us festival lovers who want to keep up with trends, find out about fests we haven’t been to yet, and get tips from the experts? Enter FestWorld, the world’s first festival lifestyle magazine, coming to our rescue with their debut issue just last month.
FestWorld Magazine was started by Scotty Moore and a team of highly experienced festival enthusiasts. The publication aims to give a 360 view of all things festival – including the the music, spotlights on festival founders and artists, important festival tips, and in-depth looks at festivals of all ages, genres, and countries. The inaugural issue spotlights Coachella’s 20th anniversary, while also discussing more niche festivals; some that I had never even heard of before. Prime example – did you know that there’s a festival that takes place on a cruise ship? So, you get great bands AND a sick vacation to anywhere from the Bahamas to Barcelona. Literally just take all my money because I’m in.
What I like about the magazine is that you learn the history of each festival along with what differentiates it from the rest. On top of that, you get to hear the actual founders discuss how they turned their idea into an event that people plan their calendars around each year. FestWorld doesn’t stick to one genre either; in just the first issue you’ll see articles about pop, alternative, rock, country, punk, and yoga festivals. It does an incredible job of giving a voice to every genre, every location, and every vibe that exists in the music scene. We all have our own personal reasons for why we love the fests we love, and FestWorld is providing another platform for us to connect on.
If you haven’t bought your subscription yet, hop on the train by clicking here so you don’t fall out of the loop. I mean, imagine how embarrassing it would be if you showed up to Coachella 2020 in a flower crown only to find out that armpit glitter is all the rage now? These are things you can avoid thanks to FestWorld.
Obviously that was a joke, but getting a FestWorld subscription is not. It’s packed with pages of incredible information and already has me adding more festivals to my 2019 list. Not to mention, $2 from every subscription goes towards battling the opioid crisis. If you already have your first issue, drop a comment with what your favorite article was!
Till next time Fest Fam.
