Levitate Music and Arts Festival, a colorful little festival on the South Shore of Massachusetts, has announced their 2019 lineup.
The release went a little differently than expected, as graphics appearing earlier in the week announced a 10am Thursday lineup drop, only for the release to be pushed to 1pm the day of. But hey, that doesn’t matter now that it is here!
It’s no surprise to anyone familiar with the festival to see Stick Figure’s name back up there. The band has a friendship with the Levitate that has culminated in six years of appearances on one of their three stages. Reception to the lineup generally seems to be mixed, but there’s a lot to be excited about. Nathaniel Rateliff puts on a hell of a show, and an undercard with Sublime with Rome, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco is bound to be a good time. And expanding from a two-day festival to a three-day festival for the first time this year means an extra headliner to bring an additional lively set to Marshfield.
A Living The Fest Life contributor who attended last year describes the fest as “very family friendly, lots of art and lots of tacos.” She also reported that VIP tickets come with all you can eat free oysters. That’s enough to convince this Bostonian to travel out of the city for sure.
And man, that lineup poster. Isn’t she a beaut? Levitate consistently makes one of my favorite lineup posters. I’d put any of them on my wall in a heartbeat.
