Miami Beach Pop 2019

If there’s one thing we love over here at LTFL it’s new festivals – especially new festivals at the beach. Especially if the new festival is brought to us (at least in part) by seasoned festival producers. What are we rambling on about you ask? The Miami Beach Pop Festival. It was announced back in May and headed for Ocean Drive in Miami Beach Florida this November. The announcement came across various forms of social media – but this photo and thoughtful message from the website – were what caught our attention.

From the Fest Website:

Miami Beach Pop is a festival for all people to share moments of joy and inspiration through live music; an opportunity to remind ourselves of what unites us as people, and to celebrate what makes us unique.

Surrounded by the iconic art deco scenery of Ocean Drive, the natural backdrop of the beach, the fresh air, and the ocean breeze, we will become immersed in the diverse, vibrant flavors of Miami Beach.

For one moment in time, we will join together and celebrate our connection to each other and to our planet, as we dance on the sand under the sun and stars.

Alright so that sweet message sucked us right in – plus who doesn’t love the idea of festival season continuing into November? And you haven’t even seen the lineup yet. Once you do, you will definitely be as S.O.L.D. as we are.

We are loving this unique lineup! It is topped with some unique headliners – I for one am stoked about Daddy Yankee. And deeper in the lineup is full of some of our favorites, including: Maggie Rogers, The Roots, Two Feet, Gryffin, Magic Giant and Chelsea Cutler – we fell in love with her at Forecastle. It also looks to feature some special appearances with a celebration of Bob Marley – something we are always here for.

Some of the magic behind the festival seems to be coming from the experienced production team we mentioned above – including Steve Sybesma (from Okeechobee), Paul Peck (from Okeechobee, Outside Lands, and Bonnaroo) along with others from the events and business communities in Miami.

Stay tuned for more info and coverage from us. In the meantime, let us know what you think of this new festival!!
