While you’re there, definitely check out the exhibit “I’ve Endured: Women in Old-Time Music” on display until Dec. 31 at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, located next to the main entrance into the festival. The exhibit celebrates the hidden heroines, activists, and commercial success stories of women that have impacted the roots of music, past and present.
