We Really Can’t Wait to KAABOO Again!!

KAABOO Del Mar has been at the top of my own personal festival bucket list for quite some time. Earlier this summer, we had the opportunity to attend and cover Del Mar’s new sister festival- KAABOO Texas. That experience made our Del Mar desires even stronger. For more on KAABOO Texas (#wearesoreadytogoback) head here.

As we discussed at length in our KAABOO Texas coverage, the KAABOO brand focuses on curating a more grown up centric festival experience, emphasizing comfort, hospitality, and the ability to spoil yourself if you want to. The tangible result of this focus is clean, comfortable, indulgent and carefully crafted food and beverage options that will appeal to people of all ages and walks of life – but especially if you are on the older end of the festival crowd. It means more seating options, air conditioned bathrooms (no port-a-potties), and a more grown up vibe.

KAABOO seems to always put together a lineup that is just as good as its comfy grown up culture. And we aren’t just saying that because we get to go this year (see kids dreams really do come true). The main music and comedy line up is below. Followed by the single day lineups that dropped today and our thoughts on each.

Here’s the day by day lineup that dropped this morning and some initial thoughts from our team:

Friday

So, I have been waiting to see Wu Tang Clan for … well, basically forever. Add in Boyz II Men (plus Plain White T’s, Andrew McMahon and Grizfolk) and this is looking to be a great day kicking off the festival.

Saturday

On Saturday, I am pumped to see Sublime with Rome (who I got to see briefly at Firefly before they were cut off by a storm a few years ago), Black Eyed Peas, Bryan Adams and one of my new favorite bands – The Artisanals.

Sunday

The vibe on Sunday looks like it is going to be a great end to the festival, with performances that we are excited about from: The Revivalists, The Bangles, Sheryl Crow, Lifehouse and so many more.

And we haven’t even talked much about the headliners yet!

One of the best things about festivals is discovering new artists and old favorites.  With that thought in mind, we have put together a Spotify playlist featuring a few songs from each of the acts on the KAABOO Del Mar lineup.

We will be going all in on our KAABOO Del Mar coverage, so check back soon for more updates, and some super special interviews. In the meantime, drop us a line or a comment if you are headed out to KAABOO in September or have been before!
