With festival season in full swing, it’s easy to forget some of the most important items while packing. Whether you’re just going for a day or you’re camping out for the weekend, here’s our list of the top 10 items you should be packing!
1. The Bag Itself
We have a few different suggestions here. Mini backpacks and fanny packs are the best for wandering around all day. Here’s our favorite choices.
Herschel
We’re suggesting Herschel first because, honestly, they’re just such a classic bag. We’ve taken ours to many shows and festivals over the years, and it has never failed us.

United by Blue
For the eco-conscious, we want to suggest United by Blue. Their bags are made out of 100% deadstock recycled polyester (AKA fabric made from plastic waste), 100% recycled nylon webbing, and they have a water-resistant finish. They are also vegan & tear resistant.

Fjallraven
We adore the look and feel of this cross body bag! It is water resistant and has just enough space to carry all of your essentials!

2. Collapsible Water Bottle
We love this water bottle because of how easy it is to travel with it. Once you need a refill, you can collapse the bottle and easily store it in your bag until you can refill it. When filled, it holds 20 oz of water, and easily attaches to any bag or belt loop! It’s also made out of a food-grade silicone, so you know it is safe to drink out of.

3. Eco Friendly Rain Poncho
These ponchos are fully recyclable and reusable! You never know what the weather may do when you’re out enjoying festival life, so make sure you always have a poncho on hand just in case!

4. Wet Wipes
Considering you’ll mostly be using port-a-potties for the majority of your festival experiences, we highly suggest having wet wipes on hand. We love these ones from Honest brand because they are plant-based, made with 99% water, and are super gentle on skin.

5. Travel Size Deodorant
How many times have you been in the middle of a crowd and put your arms up to dance, only to catch a whiff of yourself, and wish that you had brought deodorant with you? It’s happened to us so many times. We’re big fans of the more natural deodorants, and that’s why we are suggesting Native brand. They have a ton of great scents to choose from and now have a plastic free packaging option.

6. Hands Free Fan
Looking for a way to stay cool with little to no effort? Check out this incredible neck fan! This bladeless neck fan can keep you cool for 16 hours!

7. Portable Phone Charger
We know in this day and age that this probably feels like a no brain-er but we can say with, full honesty, that we have fallen victim to a drained battery at many festivals before. Haven’t we all? Portable phone chargers are an absolute MUST HAVE on this list, how else would we all document our most fun and crazy moments from sun up to sun down? We are obsessed with this mini one that fits perfectly in even the tiniest of fanny packs. It comes in multiple colors, so you can have fun matching it to your fave festival fashion!

8. Ear Plugs
It may seem silly, but if you are planning to get as close to the stage as possible, we urge you to wear ear plugs. Take it from us, you definitely want to save your hearing for as long as possible! This pair uses some pretty cool technology to filter sound to a safe decibel, but not block it entirely. They are reusable and come with a compact carrying case that easily fits into your bag or pockets.

9. Hand Sanitizer
We probably don’t have to elaborate too much on why this is on the list, so we suggest a small travel one that won’t clash with your fest fit!

10. Mini First Aid Kit
Last, but certainly not least, you never know when you’ll need a band-aid or an aspirin so make sure you keep a small first aid kit with you. There’s no need for anything fancy, it just has to fit it in your bag. A lot of kits don’t come with medications for headaches, make sure to buy a few individually packaged Advil or aspirin to add to yours.

We hope this list helps you all stay prepared so you can have the best festival experience possible. Have fun, and keep living the fest life!
