KAABOO has expanded its brand over the last couple of years and introduced a Texas spin off earlier this year. The first ever lineup for KAABOO Texas dropped this morning and it looks great. KAABOO includes both music and comedy acts – and this is an impressive beginning for the brand in Texas. Interestingly, there is a special guest spot that still needs to be announced.
I jumped back into this post because I have heard a lot of mixed reactions to the lineup – it definitely is eclectic. But I don’t necessarily think that’s a negative thing. KAABOO has always seemed tailored to an “older’ crowd than other festivals and in looking at this lineup there are definitely some acts that stick out to me as someone in my 30s. I’m looking at you: Counting Crows, Alanis Morisette, Collective Soul and Lauryn Hill.
With that said, it will be interesting to see what sales look like – I have a feeling they have a read on their target demographic.
What do you think about the lineup? Have you been to KAABOO Del Mar before?
