Just as we got on our way to beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida last month – the producers of SandJam dropped their end of summer country line up on us. In case you missed it, you can read about the amazing experience we had at SandJam here. As a short recap: the festival was well organized, a ton of fun with great vibes, and took place on the gorgeous beach in PCB. I think we can officially call it that now that we have been once.
In any event, back to the most important part of this post – SandJam has a country relative – Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam and the lineup is looking pretty awesome. After our experience in April, we really can’t wait to go back.
As those of you that followed our first adventure down to PCB now know, I am actually a southerner – both at heart and by birth. That means two things: I actually like country music (proud to admit it) and I cannot wait to get back down there to eat fried okra and drink ginormous bucket sized drinks.
I think the lineup pretty much speaks for itself, add in the amazing location and there’s really no reason to miss this one.
Tim McGraw is on my country music bucket list, one of the last few remaining artists I grew up listening to that I haven’t gotten to see (thanks to big tours by some of my favorites like Garth Brooks and the Dixie Chicks in recent years). For anyone who’s counting – the last two country acts on my need to see list are Deanna Carter and Alan Jackson. They will both happen eventually.
Ok tangent over. Basic point, I was sold as soon as I saw Tim McGraw’s name. I also got the chance to see Kid Rock at KAABOO a few weeks ago and he put on an amazing, energetic show – one that I would eagerly see again and encourage others to do the same.
Digging slightly deeper – I am also super excited to see Midland, Gretchen Wilson, Big and Rich and The Outlaws.
Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam takes place on Labor Day Weekend (August 30 – September 1) and tickets are already on sale!
We will be back with more news and info as the festival gets closer. But we hope to see tons of you out there. For tips about travel and what to expect, check out the link to our SandJam post above or feel free to leave questions and thoughts in the comments.
Can’t wait to do Country on the Coast with thousands of our new PCB friends!
