Music, Art & Surf: Levitate Music Festival 2019

Welcome to the only festival I’ve been to where there’s a free oyster bar. (thanks to Island Creek Oysters!)

Originally launched out of a surf shop, the fest was recently purchased by Livenation, and the good news is that this year they have expanded to three days, (July12-14)!

Friday will feature a half day of music, with gates opening at 4pm, with Tedeschi Trucks Band headlining.

Boston favorites Ripe are playing again this year, and it wouldn’t be Levitate without some Stick Figure.

We are also super excited to Blackberry Smoke and St. Paul & The Broken Bones – both bands we got to see at festivals earlier this year. They were amazing and will definitely make for a good time amidst the vibes at Levitate.

Besides music, there’s wide variety of art, local vendors, food, and heavily focuses on local non-profits. It’s also extremely family friendly, and even includes a kids drum circle!

With a saturated festival market, the scene and vibes here were refreshing. You could also tell how much care goes into involving the local community. With three stages, it’s easy to bounce around without having to worry about missing any sets. The lines for food and bathrooms were never long – plus to my amazement, there was hardly any trash on the ground.

Looking forward to getting back out there this year.

Tickets are on sale now!
