Savannah Stopover is one of the best and most interesting small festivals in the country. You might be surprised by such a bold opening line from us, but I promise this is one worth keeping an eye on. The festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and going stronger that ever.
If you followed along with our coverage last season, you might already be familiar with this festival. If not lets start with some basics. Savannah Stopover will take place March 5 -7, 2020 in the heart of beautiful Savannah, Georgia. Stopover is unique because rather than taking place at once venue, bands on the lineup can be seen at venues in town (generally within a central area). This festival is carefully curated and focuses on acts stopping over on their way to SXSW. It also does an awesome job of emphasizing female acts. Phase 1 of the lineup was released earlier this week and it already packs a big punch!
We are looking forward to building a playlist and to keeping an eye on the additions to what will be a huge weekend of music.
Please check out some of our coverage from last year. Here and here. This post and the fest’s website will also help you get an idea of some of the venues if you are curious about that aspect of this festival experience.
Tickets are on sale now! Stay tuned for more info and a playlist . . . coming soon!
