Forecastle Festival 2020 Lineup

Last week, Forecastle Festival dropped the 2020 lineup and we are pretty pumped. Let’s start with some basics about the fest

Forecastle Festival is set to take place July 17-19, 2020 at Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky. The LTFL team got the opportunity to get down to Forecastle last summer and had an absolute blast.  Our full recap is here and has a ton of details about the festival in general and a lot of talk about all the delicious food and bourbon we sampled over the weekend. You can also find some more info about the various special ticketing options like the Yacht Club and Bourbon Lodge here.

But now on to the most important part of all – the 2020 lineup!!

Forecastle 2020

As always, we like to pick a few of the undercard acts we are super excited about to highlight. Forecastle’s lineup is absolutely stacked top to bottom but we are super excited to see: Wale, Carly Rae Jepsen, Gryffin, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors and so many more.

We also want to point out Low Cut Connie, a Philly based rock band that puts on a high energy show. And when we say high energy – we are talking about just absolute amazing, craziness. It was one of the best sets we checked out last season and heard about from fans and photographers all summer long.

We will definitely be back with a lot more coverage on Forecastle as the summer comes, but want to hit a few key highlights.

  • Food – The food at Forecastle is on point, especially if you love southern specialties and comfort food. Some of my favorites last year were a Cheerwine float from Ben and Jerry’s and tons of delicious snacks including Velveeta queso and chips from local favorite Valu Mart.
  • Bourbon – Forecastle offers some amazing opportunities to try bourbon (both in tastings, straight and in cocktail form). We highly recommend springing for the Bourbon Lodge membership. It gives you access to an air conditioned haven – that holds booths from many local distillers. It is not only an awesome place to hang out and catch a break from the sun, it is a great place to try some really cool cocktail offerings and hard to find bourbon variations.
  • The Location – Louisville has an amazing downtown area that I wish I got the chance to explore a little more. The festival’s venue, Louisville Waterfront Park is also gorgeous and features tons of shady areas and spots to dip your feet in the water.
  • Vibe and Music – Forecastle’s lineups tend to feature a pretty good mix of music – something for everyone. Last year’s fest was also the site of one of my personal favorite sets of the weekend. A high energy set from Nelly that had the whole crowd singing and dancing from start to finish was an absolute blast. The crowd was a ton of fun all weekend and a good mix of young people and families and people in their 30s.

Check back soon for fun posts and information from us or visit the festival’s official site for tickets and more.
